Princeton is a city in Collin County, about 7 miles east of McKinney in the northern reaches of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Once a farming town on the Blackland Prairie, it has grown rapidly as suburban development has pushed outward across North Texas. The surrounding land is gently rolling prairie now filling with new neighborhoods.
