New Hope is a small town in Collin County, in the northern part of the Dallas-Fort Worth region, about 5 miles from McKinney and roughly 16 miles from Plano. It sits in the Blackland Prairie country of North Texas, an area of former farmland now increasingly ringed by the suburban growth radiating out from McKinney and the wider metroplex.
