Parker, Texas
Parker is a small residential city in Collin County, just east of Plano and roughly nine miles from McKinney in the fast-growing northern suburbs of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It occupies rolling former farm and ranch land that has been laid out largely in low-density estate lots, giving it a semi-rural character amid the surrounding suburban growth. The Southfork Ranch, the sprawling white house made famous as a filming location for the television series Dallas, lies within the Parker area.
