Murphy, Texas

Murphy is a suburban city in Collin County, part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and sitting just east of Plano, roughly 13 miles south of McKinney. Once a small farming community on the North Texas blackland prairie, it developed into a residential suburb as the metroplex expanded northward. The terrain is gently rolling prairie now largely given over to neighborhoods and local commerce.
