Palm Valley is a small residential city in Cameron County, tucked against the western edge of Harlingen in the Lower Rio Grande Valley about 26 miles northwest of Brownsville. It lies in the flat, subtropical delta country of deep South Texas, a region defined by warm winters, citrus groves, and stands of palm trees. The city is a quiet, low-density community set among the farmland and resacas that thread through the northwestern Valley.
