Broaddus, Texas

Broaddus is a small town in San Augustine County, deep in the East Texas Piney Woods, about 85 miles north of Beaumont and roughly 95 miles southeast of Tyler. It sits near the shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir, one of the largest lakes in Texas, whose surrounding pine forest and fishing draw visitors to the area. The town is a modest community serving the rural, timbered country around the lake.
