Pineland, Texas

Pineland is a small city in Sabine County, deep in the East Texas Piney Woods and surrounded by the dense pine forests that give the region its name. It grew as a lumber and sawmill town, with the timber industry long central to its economy, and lies near the Sabine National Forest in the eastern part of the state. The community sits well inland, about 81 miles northeast of Beaumont in rolling, heavily forested country.
