Most Collin County Lawns Follow NTMWD Watering Limits

The North Texas Municipal Water District supplies much of Collin County treated water through member cities and customers. NTMWD requires a permanent outdoor watering schedule.

The exact days are set by the local water supplier. NTMWD minimum rules limit spray watering to no more than two days per week from April 1 through October 31, and no more than one day per week from November 1 through March 31.

Summer watering should not run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Wylie, rural systems, and MUDs can each post assigned days within that framework.
