Anna is a city in Collin County, about 12 miles north of McKinney at the northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. It sits amid the rolling blackland prairie of North Texas, and once a farming and railroad community, it has become one of the faster-growing suburban cities along the U.S. 75 corridor as development spreads north from Plano and Frisco.
