Celina is a fast-growing city in Collin County, about 12 miles north of Frisco on the northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The area lies in the blackland prairie, with rolling farmland that has increasingly given way to suburban development as the metroplex has expanded northward. Its downtown square remains a recognizable center as the city grows outward around it.
