Three Parks Made Clear Creek a 6.5-Mile Trail
In League City, Clear Creek works like a watery park road. Put in at one green space, pass another, and take out at a third. The 6.5-mile route turns the creek itself into the link.
That link was a joint project. League City and Galveston County designed and built the trail in 2012, then opened it that October. Two city parks and one county park became three landing points, giving the mainland a water trail far from the island surf.
The route starts at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside, 100 Alderwood. Walter Hall Park is the county stop at 807 Highway 3 North. Heritage Park at 1220 Coryell is the other end. The landing points have canoe or kayak launches and parking.
