Bayou Vista, Texas
Bayou Vista is a small waterfront city in Galveston County, about 9 miles from Galveston along the upper Gulf Coast near Jones Bay and Highland Bayou. It is a residential community laid out along a network of dredged canals that give nearly every home direct backyard access to the water, and it developed in the mid-20th century as a boating and fishing settlement.
