A Henderson County burn ban is a live safety rule
A burn ban can cover all or part of unincorporated Henderson County. Under the county burn-ban law, Commissioners Court acts after the required drought finding or another public-safety finding.
Check the live county and Texas A&M Forest Service pages before lighting anything. A knowing or intentional violation of the county order is a Class C misdemeanor. State outdoor-burning rules still apply when no county ban is active.
Keep the tone calm but firm: dry woods and wind can turn debris burning into a wildfire. Delay the burn when the status, weather, material, or smoke path is not clearly allowed.
