Trinidad, Texas
Set in Henderson County about 50 miles southwest of Tyler, Trinidad lies in the transitional country between the East Texas Piney Woods and the Blackland Prairie. The town sits near the Trinity River and Cedar Creek, in an area shaped by water, timber, and lignite coal. A power-generating plant and the surrounding lakes and reservoirs are longtime features of the local landscape.
