Log Cabin is a small city in Henderson County, in the wooded country of East Texas about 44 miles west of Tyler. It lies on the shore of Cedar Creek Reservoir, a large lake that shapes much of the local landscape and recreation. The surrounding area is a mix of pine and hardwood forest and lakeside residential development, roughly 60 miles southeast of Dallas.
