Three Rivers, Texas

Three Rivers lies in northern Live Oak County in the South Texas brush country, roughly midway between San Antonio and Corpus Christi about 65 miles northwest of the coast. The city takes its name from its position near the meeting of the Atascosa, Frio, and Nueces rivers, and its economy has long centered on oil and gas, anchored by a refinery within the city limits. Nearby Choke Canyon Reservoir and its state park draw anglers and boaters to the otherwise dry surrounding country.
