Santa Anna, Texas

Santa Anna is a town in Coleman County, in the rolling hill-and-mesa country of west-central Texas about 55 miles southeast of Abilene. The town takes its name from the twin peaks of the Santa Anna Mountains that rise just to the north, a landmark used by early surveyors, Texas Rangers, and travelers crossing the region. The surrounding country is ranchland, and the town sits near the crossing of U.S. highways that link it to Abilene, Brownwood, and the Concho Valley.
