Rosebud, Texas

Rosebud is a small city in southwestern Falls County, about 34 miles southeast of Waco in the rich Blackland Prairie of Central Texas. The town grew up around a rail line in the late 1800s, and the deep black soil around it long supported heavy cotton and grain farming, once served by a cluster of local cotton gins. Surrounded by farmland, it remains a quiet agricultural community between Waco and the Brazos country.
