Port Neches is a city in Jefferson County on the Upper Gulf Coast of Southeast Texas, lying along the Neches River about 13 miles east of Beaumont. Part of the industrial Golden Triangle around Beaumont and Port Arthur, it is a low-lying river town whose economy is tied closely to petrochemical plants and refining.
