Groves, Texas
Groves is a city in Jefferson County on the upper Texas Gulf Coast, part of the Golden Triangle industrial area near the Neches River and about 15 miles east of Beaumont. It developed in the early twentieth century as workers settled near the oil refineries of nearby Port Arthur and Port Neches, and refining and petrochemicals remain central to the local economy. The city is also known for the pecan trees planted across it in its early years, a legacy celebrated at an annual pecan festival.
