O'Donnell, Texas

O'Donnell sits on the flat cotton farmland of the High Plains in Lynn County, about 42 miles south of Lubbock. The town is best known as the boyhood home of actor Dan Blocker, who played Hoss Cartwright on the television series Bonanza, and a monument and small museum in his memory stand downtown. Cotton farming has long defined the surrounding country.
