Wilson, Texas

Wilson is a small farming city in Lynn County on the flat High Plains of the South Plains, about 19 miles south of Lubbock. It was established in the early twentieth century in anticipation of the railroad, and its economy has long centered on cotton and its ginning. The country around it is open, level cropland typical of the Llano Estacado.
