Northlake is a town in Denton County on the northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, lying about 12 miles from the city of Denton. Set on the open prairie of North Texas near the junction of Interstate 35W and other regional highways, it has been among the faster-growing communities in the area as suburban development has spread outward. The surrounding land is a mix of rolling grassland, ranch country, and newer residential and commercial development.
