Justin is a city in Denton County, roughly 14 miles west of Denton, in the gently rolling prairie and cross-timbers country north of Fort Worth. The surrounding land has long been ranch and farm country, and the area retains a rural, equestrian character even as suburban growth reaches outward from the metroplex. It lies within the expanding northern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
