Nocona, Texas

Nocona sits in Montague County in North Texas, in rolling ranch country about 53 miles northwest of Denton and near the Red River. The town is widely known for leather manufacturing: it is the original home of Nocona Boots and of Nokona, a longtime maker of American-made baseball gloves, an industry that has defined the community for generations. The name honors Peta Nocona, a Comanche chief.
