New Fairview is a city in Wise County, on the northwestern edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth region, roughly 19 miles west of Denton and about 25 miles north of Fort Worth. It sits in the rolling prairie and cross-timbers country north of the metroplex, an area of pasture and rural acreage that has seen suburban growth spread outward from Fort Worth.
