Mount Enterprise is a small city in southern Rusk County, in the pine forests and gently rolling hills of East Texas, roughly 41 miles south of Longview. The surrounding Piney Woods country supports timber, cattle, and hay, and the area sits within the East Texas oil and gas region. Pine and hardwood forest closes in around the town and the farm roads that lead out from it.
