Lampasas, Texas

Lampasas is the seat of Lampasas County, on the northern edge of the Texas Hill Country about 27 miles west of Killeen, where the rolling grassland meets limestone hills. The town grew up around its mineral springs, and after the railroad arrived in the late nineteenth century it drew visitors to its spas and bathing resorts.
