Burnet, Texas

Burnet sits in the Texas Hill Country of Burnet County, about 34 miles west of Georgetown, in the rolling limestone country of the Highland Lakes region. The Texas Legislature designated it the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas, and the surrounding hills draw visitors when the wildflowers bloom each spring. Nearby Longhorn Cavern State Park, a river-formed limestone cave developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, is one of the area's best-known landmarks.
