Fair Oaks Ranch is a city spread across Bexar, Comal, and Kendall counties on the northern edge of the San Antonio area, about 24 miles north of downtown San Antonio in the rolling terrain of the Texas Hill Country. It is a largely residential community built around a golf and country-club development, with wooded hills and open ranchland framing its neighborhoods.
