Helotes, Texas

Helotes lies along the northwestern edge of Bexar County, about 15 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio, where the city's growth meets the rising limestone country of the Hill Country. The terrain is marked by cedar-covered hills, creeks, and rocky slopes on the border of the Edwards Plateau. Once a rural crossroads and ranching area, it has developed into a residential community while keeping a small historic Old Town district along its main road.
