Eagle Lake, Texas
Set on the flat coastal prairie of southeastern Colorado County about 58 miles southwest of Houston, Eagle Lake takes its name from a nearby natural lake. The surrounding rice fields draw enormous flocks of wintering snow and Canada geese, and the town has long promoted itself as a goose-hunting destination on the upper Gulf Coast.
