Deer Park, Texas

Deer Park is an industrial suburb in southeast Harris County, about 16 miles east of Houston along the Houston Ship Channel. Its economy is anchored by the petrochemical corridor that lines the channel, with major refineries and chemical plants operating within and around the city. Just to the north lies the San Jacinto Battleground, where the Battle of San Jacinto secured Texas independence in 1836, and the towering San Jacinto Monument marks the site.
