Morgan's Point is a small city in Harris County, sitting on the shore of Galveston Bay near the mouth of the Houston Ship Channel about 23 miles east of Houston. Its waterfront location places it within the industrial and maritime landscape of the upper Gulf Coast, close to the port facilities of the La Porte area. The community occupies a low, flat point of land jutting toward the bay.
