Brookshire is a city in Waller County on the coastal prairie west of Houston, about 34 miles west of downtown Houston and roughly 22 miles northwest of Sugar Land. It sits along Interstate 10 amid flat farmland and rice country that has increasingly given way to warehousing and suburban growth reaching out from the metropolitan area. The town serves as a highway trade stop and an agricultural center for the surrounding prairie.
