Towne Center Park is Heath's bet on a real town center
Towne Center Park sits at 200 Laurence Drive, beside City Hall and Amy Parks Elementary. Heath describes it as part of a broader town-center vision: events, trails, dining, recreation, and future commercial space while keeping the city's lakeside, semi-rural character.
The park is built for busy weekends. Amenities include multi-use fields, lighted basketball, eight pickleball courts, a splashpad, playgrounds, a pavilion, and an event lawn with room for up to 2,000 people.
Food trucks get their own festival-street space. That matters in a town that has often felt more like neighborhoods around a lake than a walkable center. The park gives Heath a public place to gather.
