Tenmile Creek Preserve Keeps Lancaster's Woods on the Map
In Lancaster, Tenmile Creek Preserve protects 125 acres of woods, meadows, and creek banks on the south side of Dallas County. It has two miles of soft trail with benches and picnic tables along the way.
The preserve is a quiet reminder that south Dallas County still has creek land and shade, not only subdivisions and retail roads. For Lancaster residents, it is a close-to-home walk with real trees around it.
The entrance is at 801 Nokomis Road. Hours run sunrise to sunset, and Lancaster Parks and Recreation is the contact for maintenance issues.
