The Best and Worst Times to Hit the Randall County Tax Office

If you have to go in person to the Randall County Tax Office, timing helps. Avoid the first and last week of the month, lunch hours from noon to 2 p.m., and the last day in January, when property-tax traffic is heavy.

The Canyon office is at 501 16th Street and runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The Amarillo annex at 4320 S. Western keeps the same weekday hours, except Thursday, when it stays open until 6 p.m. For a simple registration renewal, TxDMV also lets you renew online through Texas by Texas or by mail to the county tax office.
