Lake Arlington Gives the County Another Everyday Water Place

Lake Arlington is an everyday water place between Arlington and west Tarrant County. The City of Arlington opens the lake through Richard Simpson Park and Bowman Springs Park.

Both parks have boat ramps and fishing, plus floating docks, picnic areas, and pavilions. Bowman Springs also has a fishing pier and a large multi-lane ramp.

Arlington requires a paid boat-use permit to launch, with daily and annual options. For west Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens, and east Fort Worth, this is one of the closest lake options.
