Benbrook is a suburban city in Tarrant County on the southwest edge of the Fort Worth metropolitan area, only about 9 miles from downtown Fort Worth. The city adjoins Benbrook Lake, a reservoir on the Clear Fork of the Trinity River that provides fishing, boating, and shoreline parkland. Prairie and wooded hills mark the terrain where the western suburbs give way to more open country.
