Game Rooms Have a Tarrant County Permit Process

Tarrant County game rooms have a Sheriff's Office permit process. Commissioners Court approved game room rules in 2019 and amended them in 2020.

The packet includes the rules, a permit application, and an inspection request form. The rules apply to places with six or more amusement redemption machines, and the permit fee is listed as $1,000.

A city address can add another layer. Everman, Forest Hill, Fort Worth, and other cities may have their own routing too, so a site may need both city and county review.
