Get a Disabled Parking Placard Through the County Tax Office

Disabled parking placards and disabled-person plates are handled through the Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector. A permanent placard can be renewed every four years. A temporary placard lasts six months or less.

The application needs medical support. A licensed physician completes the disability statement on Form VTR-214. The county also notes that a notarized application or written prescription may be needed, so check your case before you submit.
