Buffalo Springs Lake is a small village in Lubbock County, on the flat High Plains about 10 miles east of Lubbock. It sits near a lake in a canyon draw cut into the otherwise level tableland of the Llano Estacado, an unusual break in terrain that has long drawn residents and visitors to the water. The community is largely residential and recreational in character.
