Lubbock Businesses Must File a Property Rendition by April 15

Texas taxes business personal property. That means the tangible things a business uses to make income, such as equipment, inventory, furniture, computers, and machinery. Lubbock CAD requires the owner to file a yearly rendition listing that property.

In Lubbock County, the due date is on or before April 15. You can ask for a written extension if you do it in time. Filing late, or not filing, can add a penalty. The rendition also helps protect your right to challenge the value the district sets.

This catches more businesses than people expect: shops, offices, restaurants, contractor yards, and equipment-heavy services. Pull the Lubbock CAD forms well before spring if that sounds like you.
