Woodway is a city in McLennan County in Central Texas, adjoining Waco a few miles to the southwest along the Bosque River. It sits at the edge of the transition between the Blackland Prairie and the Texas Hill Country, in gently rolling terrain of prairie and wooded creek bottoms. The city functions primarily as a residential suburb within the Waco metropolitan area.
