Wolfe City, Texas
Wolfe City is a city in Hunt County, set among the gently rolling farmland of North Texas about 36 miles northeast of McKinney. It grew as a railroad and cotton town in the late 1800s, when gins and a cottonseed oil mill made it a shipping point for the surrounding farms. The community remains a small agricultural town in the blackland country of northeastern Hunt County.
