Wills Point, Texas

Wills Point lies in Van Zandt County at the western edge of the East Texas piney woods, roughly 47 miles east of Dallas along U.S. Highway 80. The town grew as a railroad stop in the nineteenth century and is best known today as the officially designated Bluebird Capital of Texas, a title tied to the many bluebirds that nest in the surrounding countryside. Wooded hills, farmland, and pasture make up the terrain around it.
