A northwestern suburb of Fort Worth in Tarrant County, White Settlement lies on the prairie edge of the DFW metroplex, about eight miles from downtown Fort Worth. It sits near the former Carswell Air Force Base, long associated with the area's aviation and defense activity. Today it is a built-up residential and commercial city within the larger metro area.
