Westbrook is a small city in Mitchell County in West Texas, set on the flat, semiarid plains between Midland and Abilene, about 68 miles northeast of Midland. The surrounding country is dry ranch and farmland on the eastern edge of the Permian Basin oil region. It is a modest rural community along the Interstate 20 corridor.
