Trenton is a small city in Fannin County, in the farming country of North Texas about 24 miles northeast of McKinney. It sits on the rolling Blackland Prairie near the edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, surrounded by cropland and pasture. The community grew as a rural trade and rail point serving the surrounding agricultural district.
